One-Line Bio

I’m a Spanish Bilingual Education Coordinator, ESL teacher and freelance writer who digs the arts scene here in New England.


Sarah Farkas – born and raised in Milwaukee; UWM alum; went to grad school in VT and taught Spanish and ESL in Massachusetts and NYC respectively. Went to Poland with the Peace Corps and was medically separated in January 2000. Did a brief teaching stint in Japan in 2000/2001 and returned to Milwaukee, where I lived until I met my husband, Stuart in 2006 and moved to Naugatuck, CT. Started freelancing a few years ago, and have written for such publications as, Bay View Compass, Bay Viewer, Mequon Thiensville Courant, MKE, Milwaukee Magazine and the Shepherd Express. Former editor of the "Art Muscle" section of Riverwest Currents.
